Shake Up is a high quality of a monthly club night. We want to cater to the
people that really understand and appreciate the music, but at the same time
visit our events simply to have a great time and party their boots off!
Since thinking out of the box is very important to Shake Up, we don't like to
specify an age category or anything in that line. We love an audience that
consists of a wide variety of all different sorts of people, as long as they
respect each other, are open-minded, outgoing, and all come with the same goal:
to Shake Up the place!!! Shake Up will entertain the people with Candy girls and
dancers (the Best Entertainment Matters)! We also love to bring Dj's and live
acts together, like a vocalist, percussionist or a saxophonist.
But what truly makes Shake Up different, is that Shake Up insists on thinking
outside of the box. Shake Up doesn't limit itself to strictly one style. Instead we
want to bring you the Shake Up sound, which incorporates influences from Uk
Funky, Chicago Jackin House and Underground Club house! So we stand for an
eclectic house night, incorporating three different sounds, while paying
attentions to all the important extras.
A Shake Up will always consist on the mixture of the three different sounds mentioned above, namely: Uk Funky, Chicago Jackin House and Underground Club House.
Underground Club House
The
Underground Club House sound can best be defined as disco-leaning house: four-on-the-floor beats, rasping hi-hats, artificial hand claps, and drum rolls combine with deep rolling basslines, slow funk and seduce me melodies. Overall, Underground Club House is a cool vibe offering a feel-good pulse.
Uk Funky
This is a style of modern electronic dance music, heavily influenced by various styles of house and beyond, including contemporary, electro house, broken beat, soca and afrobeat. It mixes traditional UKG beats, bass loops and synths with latin percussions and r&b-style vocals.
Chicago Jackin House
The Chicago Jackin house sound can be discribed in one word as funky.
With its deep, discofied, groovin and bumpin beats and soul and jazzy influences, it's for sure
you're definitely gonna dance your feet off and feel the real underground vibe.
In order to consistently deliver the real Shake Up vibe and sound, Shake Up has chosen to work with three resident dj’s, namely: Johnstar, Easy Ryan and Simon Titus. We complement our evenings, by bringing in one or two different “big names” each Shake Up edition.
Giving the fact that we want to bring you a
complete evening, naturally no Shake Up edition goes by without being hosted by
at least one MC (and often times even more than one).
MC's that Shake Up like to work with, are fot instance:
Mc Spyder, Mc Kal El, Mc D-jay, Mc Versatile (uk), Mc Munchie (uk), Mc DT (uk).
We will have the door for between € 5,- and € 25,- a ticket. We also offer you another option and this will be the 'buy the Shake Up Concept'! This depends how big the venue is and which 'big name' we choose.
